I've been thinking lately about the difference between freedom and liberation. She turned up. I think the thing I love best about Josephine Baker is that she had a pet cheetah. I think she views herself as both, especially later in life with her children. What makes me feel she was both free and liberated is that she did what she wanted to do and took a great deal of responsibly for making her best life happen in ways which harmed no others.
